Our Story
Built by people who've stripped a thread too.
We got tired of watching good engine blocks get held hostage by $500–$600 repair kits. So we built the same fix and sold it direct.
Strip a spark-plug hole or a head-bolt thread in an aluminum block and you hit a wall fast: the “official” repair kit is priced like the manufacturer knows you have no other option. For a lot of shops and home builders, that math turns a one-hour fix into a major decision.
ThreadSleeveexists to break that. The repair itself is well-proven — drill out the damage, tap fresh threads, and set a hardened steel sleeve that's stronger than the aluminum around it. There's no reason it should cost $500–$600.
We assembled the same capability — correct-size tap, a drill bit with a pre-set depth stop so you can't over-drill, hardened sleeves, and the install tool — and we sell it direct for around half the price. No dealer in the middle. Same result on your bench.
Direct, Not Dealer
We sell straight to the people doing the work. No restricted dealer channel, no brand-locked markup inflating the price.
Pro-Grade Or Nothing
The same class of tap, depth-stopped drill, and hardened sleeve a professional engine shop would reach for. Value doesn't mean cheap.
One Repair, Done Right
A thread repair you make once and never think about again — stronger than the original aluminum it replaced.
Our quality stance
We stand behind the kit. Unused kits are returnable within 30 days, and if anything arrives wrong or defective we'll make it right. The inserts and tap are consumable cutting tools, so used kits aren't returnable — but reach out and we'll always help you get the repair done.
